Branham Maifest May 12-13

Branham Maifest May 12-13

Branham Maifest May 12-13

Remember the good old days in the 90´s when we all danced at the Brenham Maifest in Firemen´s Park to good polka music? Well folks, the good old days are back again!

Yes folks, “The German tradition” returns to the 116th Brenham Maifest May 12-13.

The music & dancing leads off Friday with music by the Walburg Boys (1 p.m.), Chris Rybak (3:30 p.m.), Alpenfest (5:30 p.m.), all capped off by Route 4 doing country at 8 p.m.

Things continue on Saturday with Walburg Boys again leading off (1 p.m.), followed by Central Texas Sounds (4 p.m.), then Chris Rybak (7 p.m.), with great country music by Jason Allen at 10 p.m.

The music and dancing is in the pavilion at Firemen´s Park, which is located on North Park Street several blocks north of downtown Brenham. Remember folks, it´s free admission to the Maifest grounds!

The 116th Brenham Maifest is more than music! The Junior Parade on Friday (10:30 a.m.) sets up the Junior Coronation that evening at 7:30. On Saturday it´s the Senior Parade (10:30 a.m.) with the Coronation at 8 p.m.

The golf tournament is Wednesday, the carnival Thursday-Friday-Saturday, and the biergarten and food booths open Friday and Saturday, noon to closing. Did we mention the antique cars and tractors show on Saturday, and the arts and crafts?

Entertainment includes the Winedale Singers 12 noon Friday and the Schuplatter Dancers 12 noon Saturday.

It´s all part of the 116th Annual Maifest, the great German tradition in historic and beautiful Brenham. See the ad below.
