The monthly Brush Country Music Jamboree will be on Tuesday, Dec. 2, starting at 7 p.m. at the Live Oak County Coliseum, halfway between George West and Three Rivers.

This will be the 14th anniversary program and also the annual Christmas show.

Headlining will be super accordion player Chris Rybak of Hallettsville. Rybak is a polka-playing accordion cowboy who plays an eclectic mix of Cajun, Country and Tex-Mex music with the traditional sounds of polka.

Appearing on the program for the first time will be twin fiddle players Roger Tumlinson and George Crawford of the Five Card Draw Band in Corpus Christi. Roger´s children, Hayden and Taylor, will also perform on the program.

Also making their first appearance on the show will be the talented group, Riptide of Corpus Christi. This group plays ´50s rock music and includes members Mike Isbell on vocals and guitar, Chris Darrell on guitar, Sidney Garcia on drums and Mark Gillam on saxophone.

Rounding out the program will be Sally Cowan of Boerne, who will sing the gospel portion of the show.

The Jamboree is sponsored by the Live Oak County Fair Association and all net proceeds go toward its scholarship fund. Entry is $3 per person. For more information, call Jerry Retzloff at 361-786-3334.
